MANILA, Philippines — While the logistics sectors in Europe and North America are coming to terms with prospects of a long term weak economic environment, the market in Asia offers many more opportunities.
In its latest report, Transport Intelligence (Ti) noted that the rapid development of the Chinese economy shows little sign of slowing, and its progression from low cost manufacturing base to high value production location is marking a new stage in its evolution.
China's influence is being felt throughout the region, not least as its economic stimulus package mitigated the worst effects of the global recession on its neighbors.
With billions being invested in road, rail, ports and airports, physical distribution is slowly becoming more efficient and facilitating the development of more sophisticated logistics services. However, with regional and global players targeting the market, the environment is getting ever more competitive.
Transport Intelligence (Ti) has been analyzing the Asia Pacific market for a decade, tracking the seismic changes which have occurred.
Ti’s researchers have travelled widely throughout the region talking to senior industry figures as well as inspecting transport infrastructure projects.
Using an unrivalled level of knowledge and experience, Asia Pacific TransportLogistics will enable the industry to understand the growth and impact of Asia-Pacific intra-regional trade, identify the market size, historical growth rates and forecasts of the contract logistics, express and freight forwarding industries in Asia Pacific as a whole and in key individual markets.
The report also would allow the industry to gain insight into the transport infrastructure of individual Asia Pacific countries including emerging countries, learn how trade influences the logistics industry right across the region, understand each country’s logistics market and gain insight into specific Asia-Pacific regional strategy and financials of leading Asian and international logistics providers.
