Schenker's Germany will give us what is the latest in warehousing systems, as we are a diversified group with products ranging from rice bags to milk powder to refrigerated cheese to confectionery, right up to paper products and liquids. For us to accommodate all of these, we need to have their expertise. Eventually we hope to Schenker Khimji's will be able to manage the facility as well."The project is currently in the design phase, with the first 25,000 sq metres of warehousing space slated to be operational within 18 months, he added.DB Schenker is the transportation and logistics arm of Deutsche Bahn (DB) and has over 91,000 employees in 130 countries and at one of the topmost positions worldwide in the industry.
